[Textures] Excuse Me, Are You A Writer?

Creative non-fiction writing in Singapore gained popularity in the 1990s with titles such the bestselling Excuse Me, Are You A Model? and Discuss Disgust by Bonny Hicks, as well as her Straits Times column The Bonny Hicks Diary. This panel explores the influence of writers such as Bonny Hicks and Goh Poh Seng on the development of the memoir and auto-fiction, and the history of these forms in Singapore as ‘minor’ literatures. Featuring Cyril Wong and Gerrie Lim, this discussion is moderated by Jason Wee.
